Good design reflects the client’s personality in the work. I look at every project as unique. Giving personal treasures & collections pride of place. Working with a single client or a couple, listening to everyone’s needs is the key to providing a space that suits different tastes but blends beautifully into a unique home.

Often we need to design to create drama in rooms that lack architectural interest.

Cottonwood Design Studio handles small scale renovations from concept, drawings, bid packets and oversight coordinated with a general contractor OR we partner with architects & structural engineers to execute more extensive renovations all over the Washington, DC region.

The majority of our projects are billed out on an hourly basis, consisting of various levels/rates of work, but we can also review the scope of work to create a design fee estimate for the entire project if that is required.
